LocaMetric is built with a focus on privacy. We DO NOT use cookies for targeted advertising or third-party marketing trackers. We only use "Strictly Necessary" and "Functional" cookies that are essential for the platform to operate correctly.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
1. Authentication Cookies: Used to keep you logged in securely (e.g., session tokens generated by NextAuth / Google OAuth). 2. Preference Cookies: Used to remember your interface language (English or Hungarian) and UI state (like dark mode or selected map filters). 3. Security Cookies: Used by Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that you are a human and to protect our platform from bot attacks and scraping.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Because we use Stripe for secure payment processing, Stripe may set its own essential cookies when you interact with the payment checkout portal. These are strictly for fraud prevention and PCI compliance. Mapbox may also store minimal cache data in your browser to load map tiles faster.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. However, if you do this, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit LocaMetric, and core functionalities (like logging in or using paid features) will not work.
6. Consent
Because LocaMetric only uses Strictly Necessary and Functional cookies (no advertising/tracking cookies), explicit cookie banners are not legally required under GDPR. By continuing to use our service and logging in, you accept the use of these essential cookies.
