1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using LocaMetric (locametric.com), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
LocaMetric provides location intelligence tools for evaluating livability and neighborhood characteristics across Europe and North America. Features include Single Point Search, Area Analysis (heatmap visualizations), Top Stays Finder, Reachability Map (isochrones), and Compare Mode. We also provide data export features including PDF reports and Excel downloads. The scores are automated estimates based on geospatial data, primarily derived from OpenStreetMap.
3. User Accounts & Security
To access features, you must register via Google OAuth or email/password. You are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality. We reserve the right to terminate accounts engaging in abusive behavior, such as automated scraping, excessive API usage, sharing accounts, or bypassing security measures. Our platform employs Cloudflare Turnstile and other anti-bot measures to ensure fair usage.
4. Subscriptions and One-Time Purchases
LocaMetric offers one-time packs (Explorer, Pro) and recurring monthly subscriptions (Unlimited, Unlimited+). Prices are in Euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes. One-time purchases grant non-expiring credits. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly until cancelled. Prices and tier features are subject to change with prior notice. You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time through your account settings.
5. Payment Processing
Payments are securely processed by Stripe. LocaMetric does not store your credit card details. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Invoices are generated electronically via Billingo and sent to your registered email address.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; access remains until the end of the billing period. No partial refunds are issued. One-time purchases are non-refundable once any credits have been used. If completely unused, you may request a refund within 14 days by contacting info@locametric.com.
7. Permitted Use and Exports
You may use LocaMetric's PDF and Excel export features for personal, academic, or internal business purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or package LocaMetric reports or data as part of a competing commercial service without our explicit written consent. Mass automated exporting is strictly prohibited.
8. Data Sources and Third-Party Services
LocaMetric relies on third-party data and APIs. Base maps are provided by Mapbox. Routing and reachability calculations are powered by Valhalla. POI and infrastructure data are sourced from OpenStreetMap (OSM) under the ODbL license. By using LocaMetric, you also agree to Mapbox's Terms of Service and acknowledge the open-source nature of OSM data.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
LocaMetric is provided 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE'. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the location scores, map data, or reachability polygons. OpenStreetMap data is crowd-sourced and may contain errors. Our scores do not constitute professional real estate, financial, or investment advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall LocaMetric, its founders, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including financial loss or poor investment decisions) arising from the use of our service, data inaccuracies, or service interruptions.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.
