1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using LocaMetric (locametric.com), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
LocaMetric provides location intelligence tools for evaluating livability and neighborhood characteristics across Europe. Our core features include: Single Point Search — scoring a specific location based on nearby amenities and infrastructure; Area Analysis — generating heatmap visualizations across a defined geographic area; Top Stays Finder — identifying the best-rated accommodations within an area; Compare Mode — side-by-side comparison of multiple locations. Scores are calculated using geospatial data derived from OpenStreetMap, factoring in proximity, density, connectivity, noise levels, and environmental quality.
3. User Accounts
To access LocaMetric's features, you must register an account using either Google OAuth or email/password credentials. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior, including but not limited to automated scraping, excessive API usage, or redistribution of our data.
4. Paid Plans and Pricing
LocaMetric offers both one-time purchase packs and recurring monthly subscriptions. One-time packs: Starter (€1.50) — includes a limited number of Single Point searches and Area Analysis credits; Bundle (€4) — includes Single Point searches, Area Analysis credits, and Top Stays searches. Monthly subscriptions: Basic (€5/month) — unlimited Single Point searches and Compare Mode; Advanced (€10/month) — unlimited access to all features including Area Analysis and Top Stays. All prices are in Euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes. Prices may change with prior notice. One-time purchases grant non-expiring credits that reset upon repurchase. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless cancelled.
5. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. LocaMetric does not store your credit card or bank details directly — these are handled entirely by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service (https://stripe.com/legal). Upon successful payment, an electronic invoice may be generated automatically via Billingo, our invoicing partner, and sent to the email address associated with your account.
6. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your plan's features until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the free tier. No partial refunds will be issued for unused portions of a billing cycle.
7. Refund Policy
One-time purchases (Starter and Bundle packs) are non-refundable once the purchased credits have been used. If you have not used any credits from a one-time purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting us at info@locametric.com. For monthly subscriptions, refunds are generally not provided for the current billing period, but you may contact us for exceptional circumstances.
8. Data Disclaimer
Not Professional Advice: The scores and analysis provided by LocaMetric are automated estimates based on available open-source data. They do not constitute professional real estate, financial, or investment advice. You should verify all information independently before making any decisions. Data Sources: Our data is primarily derived from OpenStreetMap (OSM) contributors. While we strive for accuracy, map data may contain errors or omissions. LocaMetric is not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of underlying map data.
9. Intellectual Property
The LocaMetric name, logo, scoring algorithms, and website design are the exclusive property of LocaMetric. All source code, UI components, and proprietary scoring methodologies are protected by copyright. OpenStreetMap data used within the service is available under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL). Map tiles are rendered using Leaflet and are subject to their respective tile provider licenses.
10. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall LocaMetric be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from inaccurate scoring, service interruptions, data loss, or payment processing errors.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary. Any disputes arising from the use of LocaMetric shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.
